I moved to Sandy Beach in 2006 and I met Mark around that time. My house was built in 2007. In 2022-2023, I contacted Mark about selling my house. I dragged my feet and couldn't quite settle on a sale date. Mark was the most patient man and contacted me quietly and respectfully a couple of times - he knew, he intuitively understood, that I wasn't really ready to go down the path of putting my place on the market. It was in late 2024 that I sought Mark's help as I had decided I was ready to sell. What ensured was astounding.
The house took 4 days to sell. I can only describe Mark as utterly professional, seamless in the way he organised and brought together the various elements of preparing me and my house for the market, genuine in his concern for me as an older person needing to downsize, always happy to talk with me if I was struggling or unsure of how everything was going.
Housing markets are fickle at times and Mark always seemed realistic in describing the housing market in Sandy Beach and surrounds. I had always said that I'd be happy with a certain price; Mark knew the market well and I didn't because he realised a price for me that was way above my own expectations.
Whenever we would meet, he was always enthusiastic and rightfully excited about what he was doing. A good real estate agent is one who loves his job - Mark probably won't be retiring for some time yet. For want of a better description, and to draw on a good old Australianism, can I say: "There was never any bullshit with Mark."?
I was extremely fortunate to have Mark on my side and I will be forever grateful to him for what he achieved for me. In my humble view, it was a stunning result.
